HAUVETTE & MADANI

Founded in 2010 by Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani, Hauvette & Madani Design Studio is a Paris-based interior design practice working in France and internationally. Its work spans interior design, furniture and objects, from private homes to hotels. Friends before they were partners, Samantha and Lucas draw together, in search of a balance that has made their style: bespoke interiors that start from the material before the form, where the hand is felt and nothing is left to a gratuitous gesture.

Style here resists a single movement. It shows in the care given to light and material over a long time, in a certain tension within classicism, in an Art Deco inheritance freed from its nostalgia. HMDS interiors prefer a little wear to a great deal of freshness, and do not ask permission to last.

Since 2021, the studio has been publishing its own furniture collection, made in France and Italy by exceptional craftsmen. Designed to be lived with and passed on, the pieces appear in successive collections (Amuse-Bouche, Entremets, La 23ème Heure) and extend into collaborations: with lighting designer Marine Breynaert for Gioiello, a line of lights in steel and glass cast in Venice, and with Galerie MCDE, publisher of Pierre Chareau. The furniture is on permanent view in their Paris gallery.
